This is an intuitive painting, that evolved as I worked. I gave it its title because it is a vibrant and somewhat surreal painting that features a complex arrangement of figures, shapes and colours, creating a dreamlike or narrative quality.
The style leans towards expressionism and surrealism, with distorted figures and non-realistic use of colour and composition to convey feelings of atmosphere. The brushstrokes appear visible, giving it an energetic and handcrafted feel.
